As a participate of the NExT Program with VIBE Arts, I was given funding towards creating new artwork. I decided to take the introductory silk screen printing workshop at Launchpad with the intention of making more textile pieces. This project has been more about the process than the product(s).

A process that’s been full of uncertainty but with that the possibilities were endless and still are. It's been a return to why I loved art in the first place... A reminder to play and enjoyyyyyy. In short, these last few months have been a beautiful reminder to keep exploring my interests. I’m not the limitations others try to put on me (or themselves).

In honour of International Women’s Day, I printed quotes of 3 inspirational women - bell hooks, Ava DuVernay, and Eartha Kitt - alongside my own original designs. These women speak on 3 aspects of my life - love, career, and personal growth.
