Upcoming Workshops

About the Workshop

Mark making is a universal human activity. It can include lines, patterns, textures, dots, and other ways we leave an impression. Using drawing & painting techniques, Nyaomi will encourage participants to explore self-expression through different mediums. With the understanding that the arts build and reinforce community, this series was designed to remind participants that they can create freely and connect with others in the process.

Ages: 9-12

Testimonials

"I had the pleasure of working with Nyaomi in facilitating an 8 week photography workshop for youth online that used photography to address social media and how it impacts mental health, alongside developing the work plan/meeting often to see how the program was doing and more. The youth LOVED her! She brought so much amazing energy and positive vibes to each and every class, the kids loved learning and seeing her own photography examples and taking photos from what Nyaomi taught them every single class (and showing them also!) They really blossomed under her guidance and even in the final class to the last minute were speaking of how much they loved the workshops and how happy they were to be a part of it. Thank you Nyaomi, can't wait for more collaborations in the future!"

- Reia Tariq, Program Administrator of  VIBE Arts

"Nyaomi has been a great addition to the VIBE Arts artist roster.  As an artist on our roster, Nyaomi facilitates arts programming such as photography, screen-printing, and mixed media.  She always brings great energy and attention that children appreciate and engage well with.  Her personal creative work is phenomenal, and is one of the many reasons why we needed to bring Nyaomi in to work with our organization, and the communities we serve.  She is a great addition to any team that works creatively, with community, and with children. VIBE Arts is honoured to have such talent working with us."

- Jason De Mata, Mentorship and Project Manager of  VIBE Arts

"Nyaomi's dedication to her artistry is highly admirable. Her quest and delivery to be innovative transfers to the community of youth she proudly works with through our arts programs, as a lead facilitator. VIBE is truly blessed to have such talent on our roster that takes advantage of every opportunity presented and is equally invested in giving back to those who lack access and opportunity. Thank you Nyaomi!!!!"
